Landscape Architect or Designer Position: 2 – 5 Years Experience

Aune Fernandez Landscape Architects (AFLA) is an award-winning landscape architecture office based in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul, MN. Our design work ranges across a large breadth of project types and scales. We take a design first approach to all our projects and hold true to the belief that the process of design is the process of entering into a relationship. We have and will continue to build our practice on these relationships with clients, collaborating partners, the public, and within our design team.
Job Description:
Our design approach requires us to remain nimble and responsive. All our employees must be capable of quickly jumping between several projects of various types and stages of development. Regular responsibilities will include: site analysis, concept ideation, design development, construction documents, public engagement, producing high-quality graphics and renderings, writing design proposals, and coordinating with design partners and clients. We require each employee to maintain the highest commitment to design both in process and delivery. We are unique in that our staff is asked to participate in nearly all aspects of our work. We evaluate each employee based on their strengths and interest while mentoring them through a wide breadth of responsibilities. We feel that the best professionals have a wide skill set and we actively work with staff to encourage comprehensive professional development.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of professional experience
Ability to efficiently work collaboratively and independently
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong graphic representation and AutoCAD skills
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup
